YOUTH SPORTS AT ATCHISON WHERE YOUNG ATHLETES GROW

YOUTH SPORTS

Kids in Atchison have a place to move, learn, and belong. Our youth sports programs start as early as 18 months and build coordination, strength, and confidence through gymnastics and tumbling classes that meet every child at their own skill level. Coaching is patient, teammates are welcoming, and no experience is needed to get started.

Every gift to the Y stays right here in Kansas City, helping neighbors access swim lessons, safe spaces for kids, and programs that strengthen healthy living for all. When you give, you open the door for everyone to play, grow, and belong, no matter their circumstances.

FAQ YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Our branch, also known as the Cray Community Center, is far more than a gym. You’ll find a wellness center, an indoor pool, a therapy pool, a gymnasium with a basketball court, and a walking track. We also feature a community room and a teaching kitchen, so there’s space for fitness, learning, and social connection all in one place.

Yes! Kids Zone provides supervised care for your children while you take a class or get a workout in. With a family membership, Kids Zone access is included free, so you can stay active with peace of mind knowing your kids are engaged and safe in supervised play.

Your membership comes with great value built in. Members enjoy free group exercise and water fitness classes plus a free Member Orientation to help set your wellness goals. Best of all, your membership grants access to every YMCA location across the Greater Kansas City area, so you’re never limited to a single branch.

We love supporting families beyond the workout floor. Our Kids Night Out events give children ages 3 to 11 an evening of crafts, games, swimming, and dinner while parents enjoy a night off. These themed events happen regularly, making it easy for the whole family to stay connected to the Y.

We’re proud to be one of the oldest community YMCAs around, serving Atchison since 1872. While our roots run deep, we continue to evolve with modern facilities and programs for every age and stage of life. By blending wellness, education, social connection, and youth services, our branch has become a true hub for strengthening bodies, minds, and relationships.
