The Platte County Community Center South YMCA is a welcoming hub for wellness, recreation, and family connection in southern Platte County. From fitness and group classes to aquatics and youth programs, this branch brings health and community together under one roof for members and families at every stage of life.
More than a typical gym, the Platte County Community Center South maintains a partnership with the Riverside Community Center, part of a broader community ecosystem that brings fitness, education, and support services closer to where people live. Members enjoy cardio and strength equipment, group exercise and water fitness classes, an indoor pool, a walking track, and courts for basketball and pickleball, plus free Member Orientation sessions.
Families love it here, too. The Kids Zone offers supervised child care so parents can work out with peace of mind, and Kids Night Out events give kids age-appropriate fun while grown-ups enjoy personal time. With your membership, every participating Y across the country is open to you.

Western Kansas native who joined the Y in May 2004. Fort Hays State University alumnus. Enjoys outdoor activities including kayaking, hiking, fishing, and traveling. His favorite aspects of the Y are “community involvement and leadership, mission of our Y, and development of others.”

ASSOCIATE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Kansas City, Missouri native who started in November 2015. Holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Missouri — Kansas City. Enjoys reading, dog walking, and exploring local restaurants. Appreciates how small, meaningful gestures of kind words can make a significant impact, and values working for a community-building organization.

AQUATICS DIRECTOR
Originally from Paracin, Serbia; started March 2025. Certifications include CPO, Star Guard Elite level 2, Australian Surf Lifesaving, European Red Cross, American Red Cross Lifeguard, and PADI Divemaster. Enjoys road trips, BBQ, and ocean diving. Appreciates the welcoming, friendly community atmosphere.

From Maryville, Missouri; joined July 2021. Holds an M.S. in Exercise & Sport Sciences with multiple certifications in fitness and health coaching.
