More than a gym, the North Kansas City YMCA is a true community hub. Alongside fitness areas, group exercise studios, an indoor pool, a basketball court, a walking track, and pickleball, you’ll find spaces designed for every age and stage. Families can rely on Kids Zone for supervised child care while they work out, and join in fun events like Kids Night Out.
What truly sets this branch apart are its community-based support centers. The New American Welcome Center helps immigrant and refugee families thrive with language, employment, and cultural resources, while the Best Buy Teen Tech Center gives teens free, guided access to technology, creativity, and leadership opportunities. Our branch is built for every age and activity level. You’ll find a wellness center with cardio and strength equipment, group exercise studios, an indoor pool, a basketball court, a walking track, and pickleball, plus a dry sauna, steam room, and whirlpool to help you relax and recover after a workout.
Yes! Our Kids Zone provides supervised child care so you can focus on your workout while your little ones enjoy active, supervised play. It’s a convenient way for parents and caregivers to make time for their own health and wellness without missing a beat.
Families love our Kids Night Out events, where children enjoy crafts, swimming, activities, and dinner while parents take an evening off. Teens have a space of their own too at the Best Buy Teen Tech Center, where they can explore coding, robotics, design, and digital creativity with guidance from trained professionals.
Our New American Welcome Center helps immigrant and refugee families feel a true sense of belonging as they settle into the community. Through educational workshops, job assistance, language support, and community referrals, the center offers resources that go well beyond a typical gym to help new neighbors thrive.
Absolutely. Our Y participates in the Nationwide Membership program, so you can work out at participating Ys across the country at no additional cost. Whether you’re traveling or simply prefer another branch, your home Y goes with you wherever your journey takes you.
